Trip to the local farmer's market
Living in the heart of Lancaster county there is plenty of fresh locally grown products throughout the summer months! Not too far from me is Roots Market one of the local farmers markets. Today my younger daughter and I went to pick up some fruit and veggies. For $10 we got a bag of green beans, 15 pounds of russet potatoes, 3 pounds of carrots, 3 pounds of bananas, a basket of apples and a pint of strawberries. There is something really neat about a farmer's market, walking in the open air, smelling the pasteries coming from the nearby building filled with even more venders. It was a lovely outing this morning!
